No. That does not mean that you have to be "wasted" to be a part of the guild, but it doesn't hurt. All we want you to do is play, and play for fun. Don't take the game too seriously, after all, it's just a game. Sometimes we're gonna piss each other off. Shit happens. But, that's what makes this a great guild, because we can get over it. We don't want guildies leavin' over stupid shit. Talk to the hierarchy and see if we can't resolve it. Seriously, we probably can.

Say hi to your leaders once in a while. They are Shoughie from the original Wasted Talent and Zexxon from the original Disciples of Insane Drunk Men. Their right hand peeps, respectively are Melocity and Gildoman.

Here are some basic rules of the guild:

1. Chat with us. Get involved in guild chat, even if it is just a simple "hi" or "uh huh" once in a while. At least we know you're paying attention.
2. Go on guild runs. If we're forming a party, jump in. Let's get your dungeons done in a hurry, and build this renown like nobody's business.
3. Don't spam the guild. We hate that. We have never booted anyone for something like that, but don't tempt us. We have booted ppl for inactivity...but that's another story. See the guild News below.
4. Respect your fellow guildies. We can't be having spats within the guild. If you wanna settle it, have a capture the flag PvP session in the market place. In fact, several of us are likely to join in.
5. Know your leaders. This is Shoughie and Zexxon's guild. See note above.
6. Strive to become an officer. That means play and play for the guild. If you're a solo player, that's fine. You probably won't become an officer, but soloers are usually cool with that. If you want to become an officer, speak to the hierarchy. We'll see how the other officers feel.
7. Officers, check the officers only discussions in the forums for your duties and responsibilities.
8. For anyone: if you're running with a group and you absolutely gel with the group and want to invite someone to the guild, just look in the guild, find an officer who's online and ask them to do it. They'd be happy to do so, right officers?
9. Have fun. And this one is the most important. If you can't have fun in this game, you shouldn't be here. In fact, we randomly like to go to the Phoenix in the marketplace and PvP, just for shits and giggles. Come join us. We usually get a pretty good group going.
10. If you are going to leave the guild, let someone know your reasons. We strive to make this the best guild possible, so help us do that. If you're just re-rolling a toon, that's fine, but if there's something on your mind, let us know before you just ditch us. Thanks, in advance.

Guild Dynamics

Certain recent events have led to some great big changes in guild dynamics.
From what I understand, Zyrathul is now our fearless leader. Hail!
Shough, Zex and Mel are no longer part of the guild, but will always have a soft spot reserved in this old dwarf's heart.
Pyrastra has been promoted to Zy's successor, as of the date of this news.

There are still quite a few who play frequently and are helping move the guild along. We thank them.

I will be making as many appearances as I can to help as well.

NEW GUILD RULE: Please Read!!

It has recently been brought to my attention that those of us with alts who do not log them on could possibly be causing the guild to lose renown. This is not something we want to have happen. So, here is the new rule.

--->If you would like your toons to stay in the guild, you must log them in at least once a month.

That's all we're asking: once a month. This will help us to prevent what we are now calling "bleeding renown."

Shough has also made it known that ANY toons who have not logged in in more than two months will be quickly booted from the guild. We hate to have to do this, but the guild as a whole is at stake. So, help us out, and log in once in a while, okay?

Hiya everyone,
        When Zex brought up the idea of merging guilds I loved the idea but felt that it seemed like it would be too much of a compromise for both sides to ever come to fruition. I'm so glad I was wrong. It's been such a pleasure seeing everyone meld together so quickly and easily. The whole idea of the merger was to get two groups of laid-back ass-kickers together to just have fun and it seems we've succeeded.
        Zex and I are sharing leadership and we plan to let you guys in on as much of the the decisions as possible. It's as much your guild as it is ours. Let us know if we can do anything to make the guild better.
        I'm having fun getting to know those of you I haven't met previously.
If we haven't had a chance to talk feel free to hit me up anytime on any of my toons (shoughie, shoughi, shoug, shougatron, and nivyn). If you ever have any questions or concerns or just need help with a quest i'm always willing to lend a hand. If i'm in a quest i'll probably be a little slow to answer but I will always answer.

Widgets sometimes only adding to the home page (regardless of what page you select) has been fixed.
Newest Members widget displaying incorrect data has been fixed.
You can now specify a custom favicon (the icon that appears in the browser when people are visiting your site) to be used instead of the default GuildPortal ones. The place to specify the icon to use is in Control Panel > Style Tools > General > Layout.
Story chapters will now display in order of chapter number instead of the order in which they were entered.
New widget: Torhead Search goes live! For those using the Mod, you no longer need to (but you still can).
In the forum display options, you may now specify that the most recent posts to show should be 0. If you do, the most recent posts will not be displayed at all. Some may find this useful, especially if used in combination with the Most Recent Topics widget.
Bank items with "Display to Members" un-checked no longer show in the bank widget.
Guilds with subscriptions expiring soon will now receive a more informative e-mail reminder.
Guild Events/Raids can now be set to "Block Signups" when entering them. Doing so prevents members from signing up to the event.
Application Questions may now be edited, although once the type is saved (multiple choice vs. text entry), that cannot be changed.
The maximum number of Recent Posts to Show in the forums has been raised from 20 to 50.
The signature generator should now always update your profile with the new image.
A new page in the Control Panel, called Raid Points Tools (under Member Management), provides quick and easy ways to mass adjust everyone's raid points/DKP by a set amount (either deducting or adding), reset everyone's DKP to 0, and individually edit member DKP without having to enter an adjustment.
ATT/AP were dropped from the Raid Points Standings widget. The data was essentially meaningless, and became only moreso over time.

A new widget called "Rally the Guild" goes live today! This beta widget operates much like a shout box, except instead of just adding a line of text to your site, it will send the text to members via either their cell phone or e-mail. For cell phone delivery, members will need to configure texting in their Profile (the widget itself provides a direct link to configure it, as well). Only those with officer level or higher access to your site may send out rallies, and only those marked as associate or higher receive them.

Also, images uploaded since the new file storage system was brought online (images that show as being located on a path that begins with /GuildImages) now show an Edit link next to them in the File Manager. Clicking it brings up a new web-based image editor that gives you the ability to crop, add text to, and otherwise manipulate images. The functionality of this editor already has planned enhancements, coming soon. It is also available from the Gallery widgets upon upload of new images, if the uploader has Images Admin rights on the site.

Over the past couple days, we ran across a hardware problem with one of the drives on our database server, causing some downtime. We apologize for this. The good news is, however, that we have replaced the drive with a mirrored array that has twice the space. Also, while they had the system open at the data center, we had them double the RAM as well, which should have a positive impact on performance.

To make things run even better, we have also brought in a company that specializes in the optimization of databases specific to the platform that GuildPortal runs on. They have completed their initial monitoring phase, and we will be working closely with them to implement their recommendations.

Other stuff addressed in this push:

Aion armory tooltips are fixed.
LoTRO Integration now allows manual entry of your guild name, in case your actual guild name was already taken for your server and you had to use a different one when creating your site.
Approving/denying item requests in the bank now visually updates the visibility of the approve/deny links, giving a better indicator that the command was performed.
A bug causing only one item to show when viewing item requests has been squished.
SuperAdmins can now delete crafting orders from the main display of the Crafting Marketplace.
Spotter's Order was nerfed in Rift. (Okay, so we had nothing to do with that -- we're just very, very angry about it)
